The Women's Place Resource Center is governed by The Western Area Women's Coalition. On
September 1, 1991 a group of women known as the ACCORD Women's Committee met at 7 Faye Rd. in Bridgetown and signed the incorporation papers for what then became the Annapolis County Women's Coalition.
The ACWC has grown far beyond the geographical boarders that guided the work in the early nineties. In July 1999 the ACWC officially became the Western Area Women's Coalition.
The Western Area Women's Coalition is comprised of an eight women board of directors. The Board of the Coalition meets eight times yearly or by special meeting when needed. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Coalition, request a package by contacting the Center at 665-5166.
