THE MUSIC EVENT

The Women’s Place Resource Centre will be hosting their annual Sister Fair Event in co-operation with several community groups and agencies including the King’s Theatre in Annapolis Royal, the Annapolis Region Community Arts Council and the municipalities.  A complete list of supporters and sponsors will be included shortly.

On October 22, 2010 (7:30pm) at King’s Theatre in Annapolis Royal, we will host Rankin, Church and Crowe an outstanding performance highlighting Women in Music and Art.  Regarded as “three of this region’s most gifted singer-songwriters” (Doug Gallant of the Guardian Charlottetown), this talented trio promises to offer lovers of acoustic folk/roots music a magical evening.

THE VISUAL ART SHOW & SALE

The Annapolis Regional Community Arts Council and King’s Theatre will host art displays especially created for Sister Fair, to be both displayed and sold at silent auction.

Artists from across Nova Scotia are invited to produce a piece of work for this year’s Sister Fair to be sold through a silent auction at the King’s Theatre Art Gallery.  The theme of the works shown and sold will be “Celebrating Women in Music and Art”.  Work will be submitted to the Annapolis Region Community Arts Council between September 24 and October 8th, 2010.  Many artists will be on-hand during the Music Event on October 22 to answer questions and talk about their piece.

Artists should pre-register their intent to participate by emailing arcac@ns.aliantzinc.ca.  Early registration is encouraged as space is limited.
